While I was out in California, I had the chance to spend a couple days with an amazing duo, Erin and Tim. While their wedding day imagery will be coming in a little bit, I first wanted to share a few from their Together Session. We had a blast hanging out at their little villa and then heading into downtown Sonoma. The rain started and stopped and gave us some lovely texture and when the late afternoon sun peaked through, it was simply stunning. Not sure what nature could offer to match up with this stunning pair, but it made a good effort.

Last time you all saw Kathy and Matt it was before sunrise at the Washington Monument. Good times in the capital. So I have known Matt and his family ever since we were itty bitty - our parents were friends way back before we were born doing the whole physical therapy thing together. Anyways, fast forward umpteen years and I hear they are getting married and I get to meet the wonderful Kathy nd boom boom boom. Done and done. I had a blast down in Hartford, CT with them. Matt and his groomsmen started off the day at this total old school barber shop getting a strait edge and then I meandered over to Kathy's childhood home... so much history, photos on the wall... All in all, kick ass day. Morgan also came down and made a kickin video from his footage and some of my stills. You can check it out HERE.
There is probably no better description of these two amazing people that I can offer you than one proffered directly by the bride and groom... Things we like together: Laughing, the beach, swimming in the lake at Matt's cottage, canoe rides (when Kathy doesn't have to paddle), bike rides, making gnocci, eating gnocci, laughing, going out to eat at new restaurants, Matt likes collecting rocks, Kathy likes trying to convince Matt to collect fewer rocks, Matt likes writing in his journal and sketching, Kathy likes reading Harry Potter and trying to convince Matt to read Harry Potter, cheese and crackers, when Matt plays his guitar and sings, trying to teach Kathy to sing, laughing, wine, seasonal beers, traveling, the '87 Volvo (Nelly), riding our bikes (Betsy and Simon), naming inanimate objects, HGTV, Back to the Future I, II, and III (but mostly I), Kathy loves the Gilmore Girls, Matt loves the Goonies, the Red Sox, Matt's impressions of people, tradition, Christmas (Matt especially loves the presents part), Matt's favorite day: wearing a wool sweater on a sunny autumn day, flowers, Puccino (our kitty), dreaming about our dream house, writing down things we like, and laughing. I now, very humbly, present to you...

Early this fall I found myself put putting along Rt. 3 headed out towards lovely Cape Cod for the lovely wedding celebration of Molly and Ken. Now one thing you have to know about Molly - totally crazy DIYer. I mean seriously crazy.. as in handcrafted pretty much every single thing at this wedding. I think she even stole a pew from a church or something so she and Ken could sit at it during the reception. Kidding. About the stealing part... I think. She and Ken decided to get married at this charming Cape Cod homestead, The Overbrook House, where they could all settle in and relax with friends and family. Also cool - lots of their food was provided by the abutting farm - The Bay End Farm.
It was a wonderfully emotional day, relaxed, not rushed at all... my kind of good time. I was so moved watching Ken write his vows and watching Molly work through her nerves during the prep process. Definite highlights. I asked them, How do you two seek the joy? We find joy in being surrounded by our family. Our wedding weekend is going to be all about our families and spending as much time with everyone as we can. We know that having everyone we love in the same place will bring us so much joy. I now, very humbly, present to you...

This past summer, Alisa and Chad had a lovely celebration at a private residence down on Cape Cod. Couldn't have asked for better weather, a more stunning locale, or two more loving and beautiful souls. It was an intimate, wonderfully personal, backyard affair - I really couldn't imagine a more perfect fit for these two. You'll even catch a glimpse of the miraculous Tina Carter - photographer magnifique - in the crowd [her beautiful daughter Ayla was a flower girl]!!!
One of my favorite things about these guys is the way they can just look and be with each other. It's actually amazing to be around. So comfortable with each other and so peaceful and tranquil. Coming from markedly different pasts they have this way of just kind of melting into one single beautiful soul. Something I can just wish for everyone. I now, ever so humbly, present to you...
