eric laurits is the founder and principal photographer for :e: He enjoys the following things: volleyball, the bari sax, writing about himself in the third person, strawberry shortcake, verbosity, kisses, old beat-up red pickups, waterskiing, The Redwall Series, blueberry muffins, yoga, dorky humor, purple, A & J King Artisan Bakers, The Waldstein Sonata, Ginny Weasley, the West Wing, the East Coast, snow, apple pie, cycling, honesty, cross country skiing, The Flatbread Company, sunrises, hot lemonade, crock pots, adventures, home-made swings, smoothies, stereo imaging, deceptive cadences, nachos, and irony.

eric has a B.A. in Music from Colby College and an M.F.A. in Acting from the National Theatre Conservatory. He's a trained EMT, lifeguard, Wilderness First Responder, and grows almost everything he eats. He can balance very large objects [painting ladders] on his chin.

eric is available for both in studio and travel commissions. His studio is located in Leesburg, VA and his Samoyeds, Loki and Odin, are awesome assistants but horrible wardrobe consultants. The three of them live with eric's beautiful wife, emily, in Leesburg.
