So amidst my crazybeautiful travels this month [I have three nights in my own bed... the rest I'm on the road] I took a little headshot trip out to Denver, CO. I always love heading out there so much - that's actually where I took my first headshot.
Whenever I make headshot trips, I'll usually just line up a bunch of shoots in a row over a week or so. I would hearken it akin to something like being on speed for a week. [note: to all you speed addicts out there that follow my misadventures via this blog. I'm not making fun of you. Please don't have your muscle dispose of me.] Headshooting is an intense experience for me - getting to know someone really intimately in a very short time period. My heart always breaks a little bit when our time together is over. But it's so worth it :]
Denver is a magical city - I'm told it's the epicenter for singles in the US - full of people searching... just begging to connect with others and living with their hearts wide open in hopes that someone, anyone, will just grab a hold and give a little tug... just for a brief moment. These images celebrate that - the beautiful connections we search for and ultimately find. or not.
In the midst of this wonderful traveling I stopped in to Boston for a day to hang out with Sam and Austin at the Frog Pond. Full of energy and beautifully unique, so refreshing to spend time with them, learning all about their adventures from Beijing to Hong King to LA to Vegas and the twists and turns their lives have taken.
They also run this really wonderful company, 9Tailors, which will be doing a lot of the attendants' clothing at their celebration in 2010. Check them out - it's a really cool concept... and we all know how much I like customization...
Samwise and Awei, thank you for sharing your love with me and with all of us :]
